Hope
Hope is like - a
bright ray of sunlight gleaming through dark stormy clouds; a life boat for a
strangled sailor; the sound of water for a thirsty traveller; the beaconing
light from a light house for a lost ship; the first drop of rain for a drought
hit farmer; the positive nod from a doctor for a patient; the first positive
test result for a scientist.
We all know of many
many great people in this world, like Mahatma Gandhi, Abdul Kalam or Abraham
Lincoln who started their crusade with nothing else, but hope. Their hopes were
for a better country, a better education system for the society, a cleaner
world, a cast-less nation, a race-less world. And we all realise the great
heights they reached in life.
This “Hope”, is
just a small thing that can make us do such great things. It is that small twine
of thread that holds a kite in the air.
Well, there are
times in our life, when the question, “Oh! What will happen?”, will be haunting
us day and night! The answer to it and our attitude determines us. Fear of
tomorrow is ubiquitous. But if we
overcome it with lots of faith and hope, life will be a miracle for every one
of us.
I love this quote by
Martin Luther King,
“We must accept finite disappointment, but must never lose infinite hope”.
Truly said.
As, it is hope that guides our dreams into reality.
It is hope that makes us jump up
every day off the night’s slumber. And it is hope that keeps us living through troubled days. Because, hope
means, “a feeling of trust”*. And when we trust something we need not be afraid
or confused.
So, let us not lose
hope in ourselves and in the infinite power of the Divine Force above us.
Because we never know what pleasant surprises and great twists tomorrow holds
for us. J
Let us live this beautiful life spreading lots of hope and loads of
love!
